Cargiant confirmed the closure of its retail operations in April 2026 after its directors concluded the business could no longer secure a viable future. Redundancy consultations with staff had begun the previous month, and the company entered what it described as a "managed wind-down", with remaining retail stock sold off over the following weeks.
